"The Park" is an historic Wyoming neighborhood bordered roughly by four streets - on the south, 28th St.SW ; on the north, Chicago Drive SW; on the east, Burlingame SW; and the west, you pick - somewhere between Byron Center and Ivanrest Aves. Settled in the early years of the 20th century, the proud industrious residents created a safe, family-oriented community that experienced its greatest growth during the post-WWII boom. Now richly diverse and multi-cultural, the values of the early settlers have been passed on to new, younger homeowners who are often first-time home buyers. The community offers spacious Lamar Park in the NW corner, two elementary schools in the Wyoming Public School system, and Wyoming Park High School.
